2021 Lexus LC 500 V8 Convertible Review

The face of Lexus LC 500 V8 is represented as dramatically as possible, and the radiator grille is vast. The design shows strong character. Standard LED technology is available for the headlights.

Broad shoulders characterize the LC 500 sidelines. With a speed of 50 km / h, the 4-layer hood opens and closes in 15 s. It comes in black and beige.

A modern folding method allows for storage that saves space. The Lexus LC 500 convertible is like the Porsche 911 convertible and the E-Class Mercedes with 4.77 meters of length.

Optional rims of 20-21 inches are available. The performance package even provides robust dampers and a limited-slip differential on the back.

The LC500 coupe and the convertible differ marginally in style, while the convertible retains a flat roofline.

The roof of the coupé was much smoother, so it had a spoiler that could be extended. In keeping with sports traditions, the tachometer rules the instrument in Lexus LC.

Now, a tricky touchpad powers the new Lexus lc 500 10.3 inches infotainment device on the middle screen. This user feedback will make you insane at times. Yes, this is the vehicle’s prominent weak spot.

In Lexus LC 500 V8 convertible, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. However, the quality of materials is outstanding, the hallmark standard of Lexus.

Sad to say, in the sustainable EcoLuxe, the front seat covers on the convertible are not available except in animal leather-black, beige and red.

The rear seats are, after all, made of high-quality eco-leather EcoLuxe, but now we see the transition.

On the Coupe LC 500, you have the front seats with an excellent microfiber center panel, cooler in the summertime, and warmer in wintertime.

But, there is continuously insufficient space available. You can arrange the front side as a big person, but not much space is left.

The seat behind is just a jump seat. The cargo volume of the convertible is 149 liters. The only distinction from the Lexus LC 500 Coupe is that the Coupe provides a longer trunk length.

The Coupé is available as a Lexus LC 500 hybrid, but only with a pure petrol engine that is naturally aspirated.

The 2021 Lexus LC 500 MSRP convertible is $101,000. The rear limited-slip differential is available as an option.

Power and Performance

Lexus LC 500 horsepower is 464 with a 5.0 l V8 engine. You need 5 secs to accelerate from 0-100 km / h, and the LC 500 Coupe is only 4.7 secs.

The dimension size is 4.77 m (length) x 1.92 m (wide) x 1.35 m (height), wheelbase 2.87 m, and weight 2055 kg

The V8 speeds up quickly and is very responsive to the benefit of the petrol suction engine. That’s nice, of course.

Although the Lexus LC V8 Snow Mode and Eco Speed Rate are intended for slow or lousy weather, one press of the mode switch is adequate, and then you are back in Normal Mode.

On the other side, turning forward, you go for Sport mode and, eventually, Sport + mode, where the sound engine is still active.

Apart from that, the Lexus LC 500 convertible traction control is holding up a little better. But even at average speeds, you’re still enjoying life with the LC 500.

It’s a nice blend of power and competitive spirit concerning results. By the way, the LC 500 also has active noise cancelation for noise reduction when driving.

Besides the standard adaptive chassis, 21-inch rims and damping systems can get somewhat rough on rocky roads, so we suggest sticking to the 20-inch rims but not choosing the performance pack.

Originally offered as standard for convertible models, the Lexus LC V8 small polycarbonate wind deflector has a minimal effect.

The iconic sizeable manual wind deflector impact covering the back seats seems to be much more significant.

You can run even faster than 100 km / h with Lexus LC 500 convertible in winter conditions without any issues with the open roof and massive wind turbulence.

The V8 can be operated at 12 / 100 km if you keep it. Naturally, if you’d like more strength, you might go higher.

It should also be noted that the Lexus LC 500 is fitted with a Pre-Crash Safety System (PCS) feature. Also, part of the standard equipment is blindspot alert and adaptive cruise control.

The LC 500 Coupe’s rear-axle steering is not available on the convertible to gives the Coupe more flexibility and a shorter turning circle.

The Lexus LC 500 is drastically and intensely built and has a top-quality interior, but it is robust in an exposed convertible.

The Coupe provides microfibre-sitting, long cargo space, and rear-axle steering. But LC 500 convertible gives the joy of driving over an open roof even year-round without significant air turbulence and at faster rpm.

The V8 naturally aspirated gas engine gives harmonious power as a unique selling point. However, the infotainment system is hard to use, and the shelves are not easy to navigate. Overall, the Lexus LC 500 V8 emphasizes its role as a powerful vehicle in design.
