The 2020 Hyundai Tucson ultimate trim package is a small SUV with an excellent appearance.
Hyundai started selling cars in the United States in 1986. They grew to be one of the leaders when it comes to style and technology. The great value is their first SUV, Santa Fe 2001.
The Tucson followed after that with 2005. What’s interesting is they added the venue to the Kona and all-new Palisades.
So Hyundai SUVs or a crossover style perfect for anybody out there.
The 2020 Tucson has been a little bit since the redesign, and people are expecting some changes soon.
So the big question is should you jump on Ultimate trim Tucson? Should you wait for the redesign, which Hyundai says may be coming for 2021? Or, is the Hyundai Tucson 2020 a reliable car? Well, here’s the review for you.
What does the 2020 Hyundai Tucson Look Like?
The new Hyundai Tucson does a refresh headlight design for LED, daytime running lamps, and turn signals.
The fog lamps are lower, but there are no fake vents.
Across the grill has a unique shape, chrome and identifies its brand. It’s working correctly with a little bit of flat silver to make it look off-road.
You have a forward-facing camera with unique styling. One of the best parts is the hood. It flows right into the front grille area instead of it being the front fascia.
On the hood, you’ll see a large u-shape body indentation that goes all the way around.
Around the bend, you have some flat black. It’s not too thick but ideal. An 18-inch wheel 225 of width and 55 series sidewall is looked nice. All machined with the metallic gray color, which is terrific. You also get compact steel spare tire and wheel.
On the side, you have a nice prominent body line in the fender and beltline that goes all the way down the side.
The color match mirrors turn singles are built into mirrors. You’ll like gloss black low style roof rails. Some chrome trim on windows and door handles matches perfect with the grille and the flat silver on the side sill area.
The quarter window has a nice unique shape kind of boomerangs design.
At the rear, you have a nice low flat roof spoiler and simple badging Tucson.
Also, LED brake lights and exhaust on one side have a nice touch, which fits the rear fascia.
Under the hood is super clean and lots of room. You got a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter engine, 181 horsepower. It’s not made for a CVT but for a six-speed automatic transmission.
MPGs are excellent, 22/28 in the city and highway, so that’s quite good gas mileage.
Inside the 2020 Tucson ultimate, the door panel has two-tone color. Soft-touch at the top and a little bit of black around the switch looks excellent.
Also, you have the Infinity premium sound system and a relatively large pocket.
The dashboard is super soft with a nice texture.
Also, smooth synthetic leather with the stitch works nicely on the dash.
The AC vents and digital iPad style 8-inch screen display navigation with Apple Carplay, Android Auto, GPS are really easy to navigate through. But, there’s no CD Player.
Besides, you have a start/stop button, dual climate control, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a power panoramic sunroof.
How about features of Hyundai Tucson 2020 to support your connectivity? Don’t worry, got 12 volts, a USB, aux jack, and wireless charging.
Also, the keyfob has a remote start, and the color matches the interior.
You have different drive modes, Sport or Non-sport. The camera views are great, and you have 360. It’s a little grainy, but it’s nice to have such technology. Also, you can touch the screen to go into different angles.
The front armrests are hard, but the stitch work is lovely. Underneath, you have enough space to put some stuff.
The seats are clean, and the stitch work is admirable. Maybe this is your favorite part since it is ventilated, heated, and has full electric assists for the passenger or driver.
Don’t forget, you have a full panoramic sunroof to gets enough light for everybody.
However, the auto-dimming mirror is not frameless.
Overall, it’s hard to think that Hyundai Tucson isn’t redesigned a while but still has many great finishes inside.
Behind the wheel, you do have an electric-assist, which is easy to get. The steering wheel has a great thickness but a little bland on the horn and other buttons are dated.
Also, there are no paddles on the back of the steering wheel.
But you do have backlit LED gauges with little digital display in the center. From there, you could go through a plethora of information like driver assistance, blind-spot monitoring, fuel economy, tire pressure, etc.
Hyundai Tucson makes it very simple by only provide Sport or Non-Sport driving mode.
At the backseats, you get excellent material, rear AC vents, nets, and one USB. Besides, you have plenty of legroom and headroom.
Even you can actually recline a little bit, which is a nice touch.
Despite the hard armrests, you have two nice cupholders.
The cargo area has a nice electric-assist or power liftgate, although the opener is slow. Inside, you have a lovely flat loading floor and plenty of room, even with the seats up.
Also, there’s a 12-volt on the side. You have to come over to the passenger sides to fold the seats down for you, which is less practical. But, you got a significant amount of room although it’s not 100% flat.
2020 Hyundai Tucson, the seats are supportive, and the iPad-style system screen is easy to read. Also, the steering wheel has a nice thickness.
The six-speed automatic transmission is smooth. You don’t have annoying sounds like on a CVT.
All the connectivity, including wireless charging, is friendly and visibility is excellent, so good to have this car in your garage.
But the mirror is a little obtrusive because it’s not frameless. You get excellent feedback from the brake pedal, and the nice thing is what a naturally aspirated engine, you’re not waiting for boosts. The ride is nice and compliant, not harsh, not like body roll all over the place, which is excellent.
Inside, it actually feels like a bigger SUV because of the amount of room that you have.
Hopefully, this gave you a pleasant taste of what the Tucson is about, and we are waiting for a redesign.
